A Somali man marries a Maasai woman, and they have a baby girl. Years later, the girl develops kidney failure, and doctors ask the father to find potential donors. He takes her for a blood test, which reveals she has an O-negative blood type. When the man tests his own blood, one lab reports he is A-negative. Later, another facility says he is A with weak D (a variation in Rh factor). The wife is tested and found to be O-positive. With both parents being Rh positive, the man is convinced the girl isn’t his. He becomes furious and demands a DNA paternity test—which confirms he is indeed the father. Unfortunately, the couple separates. Now, the broken family continues their search for a compatible kidney donor.
